WISH

wish

How to make it

Draw a 'C' hand down the center of your chest — the same path as HUNGRY, with a wistful face.

Where the sign comes from

Iconic

The sign visibly depicts its meaning — a present-day resemblance, not a historical claim.

The C-hand traces the throat and chest as HUNGRY does; the meaning has widened from craving food to longing in general. Only the face and context separate the two.
