Fingerspelling

The skill isn't spelling. It's reading it back.

Learners can produce A to Z within a week. Then a Deaf signer spells their street name at full speed and it's a blur. Reading fingerspelling means holding a word as a shape over time and chunking it — so that's what the drill trains.
