Sign video is drawn from the PopSign v1.0 corpus (CC BY 4.0), recorded by Deaf signers. Etymologies cite Frishberg (1975), Long (1910/1918), and Shaw & Delaporte. We mark every claim by how well it is evidenced — and say “unknown” when it is. Full references.
